Namaste, my
name is Ombir!

You’ll recognize me by my smile and big white teeth, ha-ha. I am always happy!

I'm sixteen years old and growing up in the Ombir Family together with my brother Na. If you’re looking for me, you’re likely to find me at school which is where I enjoy spending most of my time.

In between classes I like to have fun with my friends, brothers and sisters. Wherever I go, I always try to learn something from everything and everyone. I’m really happy and grateful.

This is my
'Secret Book'

At the end of the day, when we all come home from school, I always write down my secrets in my ‘secret book’. My brothers can read my secrets, but definitely not my sisters, ha-ha! We write about what we experienced at school that day. These are boy secrets.

My favorite subjects

You can give me no greater pleasure than to give me the opportunity to go to school. Every day I wake up happy knowing that I’m going to school. My favorite subjects are mathematics, grammar and science. I also enjoy computing and secretly go on Facebook and send messages to Mick asking him what time he will be home today.

A little bit
more about me

I enjoy joking around with the others and scaring my brothers and sisters. But I also have a very serious side. I’m very independent and always do my homework without Mick or Kalpana even having to ask me to do so. In my free time, I really enjoy looking at photos from the past.

Ik hoop je in de
toekomst te zien!

When I grow up, I’d like to be a friendly and responsible man. I dream of a life as a professional football player, just like my hero Virgil van Dijk. Otherwise, I would like to follow my big brother Na and study IT.

Although I’m very proud of him now that he’s studying in the Netherlands and realizing his dreams, I do really miss him. Fortunately, we can FaceTime each other now and then on Mick's phone. It makes me happy to see him again.

I’d also like to travel the world one day, just like my big brother Na and Mick. I’d really like to study IT abroad and bring my knowledge and experience back to Nepal and share it with the people here.

As a sixteen-year-old boy, the future is getting closer every day. I’m fortunate that I can go to school every day, as I really enjoy it. Going to school brings me a step closer every day to my dream.

Thanks to you, I can go to school every day and can realize my dreams. We are embarking on a special adventure together. Not only do you enrich my world, but I also yours.

You will always be the first to receive my school report, new photos and I hope we will send letters to each other; that would be great!
